Robert Luther Crank, 79, of 124 Thompson Drive, Kings Mountain passed away Saturday, February 23, 2019, at Carolina Caring(Hospice) in Newton. He was born on December 23, 1939 in Chester County, South Carolina to the late Dolden Crank and Azzialee Goode Crank.
Robert was a faithful member and a honorary deacon at St John Holiness Church of God until his decline in health. He retired from the Gaston County School system where he was employed at Carr Elementary School in Dallas, North Carolina.
Robert enjoyed spending time with his loving wife, family and especially his grandchildren. He also took pleasure in working out in the yard, cutting grass and if you stopped by you could catch him watching his favorite reruns of Walker Texas Ranger and In the Heat of the Night.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two siblings, his sister Magdalene McCree and a brother David Junior Crank; two grandchildren Candance Tuft and Overseer Steven Brown Sr
He leaves to cherish fond memories his wife Carrie Mae Crank; two sons Robert L. Crank Jr. and David L. Crank; one daughter Yvonne Tuft (Jessie); Nine grandchildren Quinton, Joshua, Mathew, Tinita, Jessie Jr., Emmanuel, Christopher, Nicholas and Brithany; 15 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and special friends.
